Cat Drop is a growing non-profit research institute that develops new ideas and strategies towards conservation by linking ecological science with problems human kind is facing every day. By creating bridges between conservation and issues that affect our day to day lives we aim to increase support and prioritization for the preservation of the natural world we live in.
The Cat Drop was founded in 2011 and is registered in the Netherlands as a non-profit organization. Over the past years Cat Drop has been active in Southeast Asia, where we conduct research into the ecosystems in which dengue fever transmitting mosquitoes are embedded. The ultimate aim of this research is to develop mosquito control guidelines and strategies that create benefits for biodiversity and the overall environmental quality while simultaneously reducing the burden of dengue fever and other diseases transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes.
